What is LibrAria
The name LibrAria combines two concepts: books and air.
It was born from the idea of giving “aria” (air) to digital books — eBooks and audiobooks — by offering them a tangible, real presence.
Stories that normally live on a screen can find a physical space, small but concrete, and become part of your environment.
Who I Am
My name is Valerio Guarino.
I am a software engineer with a strong focus on the aesthetic side of design.
Artistic sensitivity is also part of my family background: my father is a painter and sculptor. Over time, this inclination has been strengthened through years of experience in designing graphical interfaces, with particular attention to simplicity, clarity and user experience.
With LibrAria, I wanted to create something personal that brings together two paths:
on one side engineering, design and technical precision;
on the other art, aesthetic sensibility and manual craftsmanship.
LibrAria represents the meeting point of these two worlds.
The Project
LibrAria is an independent project developed in Switzerland.
Each Personal Book Nook takes shape through an artisanal process that includes design, development, hand painting and manual assembly.
All stages are carried out entirely in Switzerland, without industrial production or assembly lines.
How It Works
There is no large-scale production and no ready-to-ship warehouse stock.
Each piece is made to order and personalized according to the customer’s request.
This means that production times may vary depending on the number of orders in progress, and during periods of high demand a waiting list may be activated.
Quantities are intentionally limited: the process requires time, care and manual work.
What Does It Mean to Purchase a LibrAria Book Nook?
